Total Heliski was set up by heli skiers for heli skiers and boarders. We have now assembled a small team to answer your every question from any of our offices.

UK Office:

Hayley Melidonis- Founder and CEO

Hayley Melidonis is an Australian international businesswoman, avid heli skier and adventurer. Hayley began skiing at 3 years old, did her first international ski trip at 18, first telemark ski turn at 21, first Winter Olympics at 22 (not as a competitor mind you), and first international FIS ski race at 25 for the International Airline Ski Federation races. She developed a taste for powder and backcountry skiing, doing the Haute Route on alpine touring skis in 2007, and ski mountaineering the Grand Paradiso (4061m, highest peak in Italy) in 2008. In 2009, she won silver medals in the women’s league for the BritishTelemark Ski Championships held in Rauris, Austria, and was asked to try out for Team GB – the British National Telemark Race team.

After skiing over a hundred resorts and backcountry all over the world, she discovered heli skiing in Alaska in the Chugach mountains, and has been hooked ever since. ‘It’s not just about the powder, heli skiing has an excitement and social connection that is surreal, it’s like ‘super living’ and like many other adventurous pursuits, is addictive’. – Hayley

Professionally, Hayley built a successful business career spanning the globe in travel, mobile and digital media holding sales, marketing and business development management positions in top 500 companies, including Ansett Airlines, Virgin Mobile, Motorola, and Nokia. Now she has combined these professional and personal experiences and her passion for heli skiing, and so, Total Heliski was born.

Isabella Girand

With a Masters in Marketing & Communication, Isabelle’s been managing digital projects for almost 5 years, both agency side for Bentley and Lloyds TSB and client side at B Sky B, M & S and Global Radio.

More recently, she devised social media strategies and acted as Community manager for Martell Cognacs, G.H. Mumm champagnes and Volvo.

She’s now really excited to be part of the Total Heliski adventure.

Jack Harvard Taylor

Jack is a seasoned ski racer on the British Telemark Team with a passion for communication. With expertise in public relations and marketing Jack has been the driving force behind the British Team’s on-going campaign to raise their profile and generate sponsorship. Last year Jack brought in sponsorship from Mercedes- Benz UK in a deal worth over 80k.

Jack hopes to bring this skills this experience to Total Heliski where he will oversee the communications strategy and also play a key role in this year’s London Total Heliski Show in November.

Anand Narayanan

Anand is a marketing professional with expertise in digital marketing and promotion. He worked at Time Warner on the online products for their successful TV channels where he ran the Cartoon Network, Sesame Street and POGO websites. In his latest role, he was part of the marketing team that successfully launched the Warner Brothers (WB) television channel across the country.

Anand is a huge sports fanatic and follows all sorts of sports and is looking forward towards being a part of the growth of Total Heliski

Hal Prescott

Hal Prescott is a recent graduate with a Master in Economics and Philosophy. He has had an obsession with all things snow since an early age and is looking to channel this through Total Heliski.

His knowledge and experience with corporate events, coupled with running a hugely successful university ski club makes him the perfect candidate for Marketing Coordinator at Total Heliski.

Gary Wardrope and the Team from Get Skiing:

Total Heliski have formed a close partnership with Gary Wardrope and his team from Get Skiing who are fully ABTA and ATOL bonded in order to fulfill any of our clients supplementary travel needs, whether that be pre/post ski bookings, flights, car hire, or accommodation.

Why Use Gary’s Team’s Services?

‘We will get them a better deal if we do whole package. We get rates that your clients cant get online. But importantly, if they do it themselves with separate contracts, they wont be protected if airports close, volcanoes go off etc’.

Gary is an ex ski racer from Canada who has skied extensively and raced all over the world. He also taught skiing in Banff, and spent five years in the Alps working and skiing across different resorts, including Verbier, St Anton, Les Arc and Tignes. He also has 20 years travel experience at senior levels working as Sales and Marketing Director of Neilson Ski holidays from 1987- 1992 and also started up the Airtours ski programme from 1993 to 2000. He has run his own ski business Get Skiing.co.uk since then, specialists who can offer ski holidays for all levels ability across the world.

Gary says: “I love skiing and have had the thrill of heli- skiing in the Bugaboos of the Canadian Rockies and the Grand Combin region of Switzerland. There is nothing better than being in the mountains with a group of ski friends, with sun in the eyes and miles of untracked virgin powder in front of you. The feeling of skiing fresh powder with great ski friends all sharing the same joy is unforgettable.”

Australian Office:

Penny Beitzel- Australian Representative

Penny Beitzel leads our Australian office. In addition to a successful career at Ansett Airlines, Penny’s love of international skiing led her to hold the title of President of the Ansett Ski Club, Secretary to Airlines of Australia Ski Federation, and Aust/ NZ Director for the International Airlines Ski Federation (IASF). Penny organised teams and tours to compete in the Australia/ NZ, and the IASF World Airline Skiing Championships (the 3rd largest winter sport event in the world behind the Winter Olympics and World Cup). Her strong organisation, and administration skills, her international ski experience, as well as her engaging, warm personality and dry sense of humour, are a welcome addition to the Total Heliski Team down under.
